Huarango Door (19th Century)

This door is made of the robust and resistant ‘huarango’ wood of the coastal desert in Peru. It was rescued from a hacienda in the Majes Valley, Arequipa, that had been destroyed by an earthquake in 2001. The door dates back to approximately the end of the 19th Century.
