Colonial Alder Friar’s Chair

This friar’s chair (or frailero, in Spanish) is made of alder wood that displays carvings and varied colors. It has bronze pins and the original embossed leather. It was rescued from a Colonial house in Cusco city that was under repair. This piece dates back to approximately the 18th Century.
