This armoire was elaborated with a Republican-original (19th century) door from Arequipa. Remnants of the original paint have been conserved. The wood used in the back and on the sides is Oregon pine that was recovered from a demolition of a republican house in the port of Callao. The hinges were hand-made forged and the door bolt is a colonial original. This door was rescued from the 2001 massive earthquake that devastated this historic city.
